Configure project alerts and notifications

DeployMonitor separates the alerts a project makes available from each member's personal delivery choices.

Understand the two settings pages

  • Project Admins use Settings > Project Alerts to decide which alert types and channels members may use.
  • Every accepted member uses Settings > Alerts to choose from the options the project makes available.

Enabling a channel at the project level makes it available; it does not automatically opt every member into external messages.

Choose project alert availability

Open the project, select Settings, then select Project Alerts. Available alert groups include:

  • Project Logs: Daily Digest and Weekly Digest.
  • Monitor: Monitor Down and Monitor Up.
  • Maintenance: Maintenance Started and Maintenance Ended.
  • Certificate: 30-day renewal, 10-day renewal, and expired certificate.
  • Domain Health: 30-day expiry, 10-day expiry, expired domain, and registration changed.

Channels are App, Email, and SMS. SMS is available for monitor, maintenance, certificate, and domain-health alerts, but not for daily or weekly log digests. Select Save availability.

Choose your alerts

Open the project, select Settings > Alerts, enable the available channels you want, and select Save settings.

In-app delivery is enabled by default. Email and SMS are personal opt-ins. SMS controls remain unavailable until you verify a supported phone number under account Settings > Notifications.

If an Admin later disables an alert or channel under Project Alerts, members cannot use it even if they previously selected it.

Understand maintenance suppression

While project maintenance is active, DeployMonitor suppresses other project alerts, including monitor, certificate, Domain Health, and log-digest alerts. Maintenance Started and Maintenance Ended alerts are not suppressed.

Monitoring continues during maintenance. If the primary Production monitor remains Down when maintenance ends, DeployMonitor can send the current Monitor Down alert after Maintenance Ended.

Review in-app notifications

Open Notifications from the main navigation to filter messages, open the related item, mark messages read, or delete individual notifications. Deleting a notification does not delete its related project record.
