Configure uptime and certificate monitoring

Project Admins can enable uptime, SSL certificate, and Domain Health checks independently. All three checks use the project's URL as their starting point.

Open Monitoring settings

  1. Open Projects and select a project.
  2. Select the project's Settings tab.
  3. Select Monitoring.

Only project Admins can change monitoring settings. The monitor URL is read-only because it follows the project URL. Change the URL under Settings > General when necessary.

Configure uptime checks

Enable Uptime Monitor to have DeployMonitor request the project URL and store results. Each result can include whether the request succeeded, its HTTP status, response time, failure reason, and check time.

Set Uptime check interval from 5 to 60 minutes in five-minute increments. This is the normal interval for a healthy monitor. Failed monitors may be checked more frequently to confirm an outage and detect recovery.

DeployMonitor checks robots.txt before requesting the configured URL and each redirect. When access is blocked or the policy is temporarily unavailable, the page displays a warning. Skipped checks do not count as downtime or trigger outage alerts, and monitoring resumes automatically when the policy permits the URL.

Configure certificate checks

Enable SSL Certificate Monitoring to inspect the TLS certificate for the project host. DeployMonitor records the certificate status, expiration date, issuer, and any failure reason.

An initial certificate check is queued when the setting changes from disabled to enabled. Scheduled certificate checks then run daily. Certificate monitoring is most useful for HTTPS projects.

Configure Domain Health checks

Enable Domain Health Monitoring to retrieve registration information for the registrable domain in the project URL. DeployMonitor queues the initial lookup and refreshes active domain records daily.

Unsupported or unregistered domains disable Domain Health immediately. Three consecutive temporary lookup or domain-link failures also disable it. DeployMonitor records a system project log titled Domain Health monitor disabled with the reason.

Save and review results

Select Save changes, then return to the project's Overview. Initial values may remain pending until the first checks complete.

The overview separates monitoring data into Monitor Status, Certificate Monitor, Domain Health, and Response Time cards when the corresponding checks are enabled.
