Monitor domain registration health

Domain Health tracks public registration details for the registrable domain in a project's URL. It can alert project members about expiration milestones and registration changes.

Enable Domain Health

Project Admin access is required.

1. Open the project.
2. Select Options > Manage Monitor.
3. Enable Domain Health Monitor.
4. Select Save changes.

DeployMonitor queues the initial domain-link and registration lookup. The Domain Health card displays Pending until registration details are available.

DeployMonitor resolves the registrable ICANN domain rather than monitoring an individual subdomain. For example, a project URL on status.example.co.uk is linked to example.co.uk. Internationalized domains are displayed in their readable Unicode form when possible.

Read the Domain Health card

When available, the card shows:

• Domain name.
• Registrar.
• Expiration date.
• Registration date.
• Last registration change.
• Last checked time.
• Domain statuses reported by the registration service.

The card state is:

• Pending before the first successful result.
• Healthy when no failure is recorded and the expiration date is more than 30 days away or unavailable.
• Expiring when the recorded expiration date is within 30 days.
• Expired after the recorded expiration date passes.
• Check failed when the latest domain link or registration lookup recorded a failure.

Active domain records are refreshed daily. Changing the project URL while Domain Health is enabled clears the old project link and queues a lookup for the new registrable domain.

Configure Domain Health alerts

DeployMonitor supports:

• Domain Expiry — 30 Days.
• Domain Expiry — 10 Days.
• Domain Expired.
• Domain Registration Changed when a successful refresh changes the registration date, expiration date, registrar, statuses, or last registration-change value.

The first successful lookup establishes a baseline and does not send a registration-change alert. Matching alerts are de-duplicated for the relevant domain change or expiration milestone.

Project Admins choose whether App, Email, or SMS is available for each alert under Options > Available Alerts. Each member opts in under Options > My Alerts. Active project maintenance suppresses Domain Health alerts until maintenance ends.

Troubleshoot disabled Domain Health

Domain Health requires a registrable domain supported by the public registration lookup. DeployMonitor disables the setting immediately when the domain is unsupported or unregistered.

Temporary lookup or domain-link failures are retried on later scheduled runs. After three consecutive failures, DeployMonitor disables Domain Health for the affected project.

When it disables the monitor, DeployMonitor creates a system project log titled Domain Health monitor disabled with the recorded reason. Review that log and the project URL, correct the underlying problem when possible, then enable Domain Health Monitor again. Re-enabling clears the saved failure count and queues a new lookup.
