Monitoring
Schedule and manage project maintenance
Use a project maintenance window to tell teammates when planned work is scheduled or active and to prevent routine operational alerts from firing during that work.
Permissions
Project Admins and Developers can schedule, update, end, and cancel maintenance. Members can view the current maintenance notice and maintenance history but cannot change it.
Schedule maintenance
Open the project.
Select Options > Maintenance.
Set the start time. Dates and times use your profile timezone.
Optionally set an end time. It must be after the start time and in the future.
Optionally add details for teammates and alerts.
Select Save maintenance.
If the start time has arrived, the maintenance is Active. A future start time makes it Scheduled. Leaving the end time empty keeps maintenance active until an Admin or Developer ends it manually.
Only one scheduled or active maintenance window can exist for a project at a time. Complete, end, or cancel the existing window before creating another one.
Manage the current window
Open Options > Maintenance again, or use Manage maintenance on the current notice.
Scheduled maintenance can have its start time, optional end time, and details changed.
Scheduled maintenance can be cancelled. It remains visible in Maintenance History with a Cancelled status.
Active maintenance keeps its original start time. You can change its optional end time or details.
Select End maintenance to finish active maintenance immediately.
Completed or cancelled maintenance cannot be changed.
The notice identifies whether the maintenance source is Manual, API, or System. It also shows the start time, optional end time, and details.
Understand alert behavior
Maintenance supports Maintenance Started and Maintenance Ended alerts through the App, Email, and SMS channels when those options are available for the project and enabled by the member.
While maintenance is active, DeployMonitor suppresses other project alerts, including monitor, certificate, domain-health, and log-digest alerts. Monitoring checks and status updates continue.
When maintenance ends, DeployMonitor sends the Maintenance Ended alert. If uptime monitoring is enabled and the monitor is still Down, it can then send the current Monitor Down alert.
Configure delivery under Options > Available Alerts and Options > My Alerts. See Configure project alerts and notifications for details.
Review maintenance history
Every project overview includes Maintenance History. Each entry shows its status, source, dates, details, creator, and canceller when applicable. Statuses are:
Scheduled for a future, uncancelled window.
Active after the start time and before the optional end time.
Completed after the end time or after it is ended manually.
Cancelled when a scheduled window is cancelled.
Select Load more to reveal older maintenance records.
For automation, see Manage project maintenance with the API.
